2024 was a defining year for Zebec, marked by transformation, growth, and real-world impact. 

At the center of this evolution was our rebrand from Zebec to Zebec Network, a name that better reflects our expanded mission, expanded ecosystem and a growing suite of products and services. This shift wasn’t just a change in identity—it was a statement of intent, signaling our focus on creating a comprehensive ecosystem for decentralized, blockchain-powered financial solutions.  

As part of this transformation, our native token, $ZBC, evolved into $ZBCN, introducing a next-generation asset at the core of the Zebec Network. The launch of $ZBCN came with key milestones, including listings on 17+ centralized exchanges and the migration of our DAO governance to the Solana blockchain, bringing governance closer to the ecosystem. 

Beyond these structural advancements, we distributed over $2 million in airdrops and rewards to $ZBCN holders, and launched a new staking platform as well as a buyback program ties to Zebec cards revenue. Between staked $ZBCN and our regular and consistent buybacks, Zebec continues to reinforce and support the value and utility of $ZBCN by significantly reducing our native token circulating supply.  

Real-World Products, Real-World Adoption: Zebec Cards

Zebec’s transformative year wasn’t limited to tokenomics. Our real-world products achieved unprecedented scale and adoption. The Zebec Silver and Black cards empowered users around the globe to seamlessly spend crypto in everyday transactions. With over 150 tokens integrated, including blue-chip assets and most popular and trending memes, and available to fund across 8 leading blockchains, Zebec’s cards brought crypto spending and other services to 50,000+ monthly active users across 100+ countries.  

Payroll of the future

In addition to individual users, Zebec’s enterprise solutions saw remarkable growth. Our blockchain-powered payroll system processed $500 million in annual payroll volume, served 225 enterprise clients, and facilitated over 264,000 payroll transactions. The future looks even brighter, with an acquisition pipeline poised to onboard 40,000 employees, adding $1 billion in payroll volume and 2,000 enterprise clients.  

Expanded AI-powered PayFi

In 2024, we launched Zebec AI (ZAI), an advanced SmartPay layer designed to streamline and secure payments and financial transactions across all our product . ZAI introduced predictive transaction processing, enhanced fraud detection, and seamless multi-chain integration, making it a cornerstone of Zebec's real-world adoption efforts.

This cutting-edge technology played a critical role in piloting DePIN-powered retail payment systems in the U.S., showcasing how decentralized infrastructure can revolutionize everyday transactions. These initiatives are laying the groundwork for broader adoption of crypto payments in everyday retail scenarios.  

A Global Stage: Showcasing Zebec to the World

Zebec’s achievements in 2024 weren’t just confined to products—they were celebrated on the global stage. In a groundbreaking move, Zebec sponsored Premier League stadium takeovers and UEFA games across Europe, bringing the Zebec brand to millions of football fans worldwide. These sponsorships, combined with promotional campaigns in UK pubs and global broadcasts, demonstrated the growing cultural resonance of crypto and decentralized finance.  

Moreover, Zebec’s presence extended to major industry events, including Consensus in Austin, TOKEN2024, Breakpoint in Singapore, and ETH Denver among others, where the team  showcased our products and offerings to industry leaders and blockchain enthusiasts alike.  

Ecosystem growth and engagement

To further engage with our audiences, Zebec launched the “Future of Money” podcast, offering deep dives in over 30+ interview into the evolving role of blockchain in finance. This was complemented by Zebec Ecosystem Spaces on X, each attracting significant following and listeners, fostering meaningful conversations with partners and the broader community. 

In addition, Zebec’s story was also featured in prominent global publications, solidifying our position as a thought leader in the space.
